Frank S. Reid, secretary of the lo-
cal scout committee, in recognition
of valuable services rendered by
Linn to scouting in this district.
And to Cy Foster, cub master,
was presented a handsome sheep
lined leather jacket by Tim Rol-
lins, representing the cub dads, in
recognnition" of unusual and tire-
less services rendered to the local
cubs. Mr. Foster responded in ap- ,
preciative remarks of the kindly
co-operation he Jiad always had
and of the pleasure that had come
to him to have been able to have
rendered service to the young boys,
and the retrret that he was having
to leave this fine community that
had treated him so well. >
This particular meeting will be
remembered as time goes on, with
much pleasure by those who were I

WESLEY BIBLE CLASS HAS
CHRISTMAS PARTY
A Christmas party was given by
the Wesley Class in the basement
of the First Methodist church Dec.
21, with the group leaders, Mes-
dames, Strawn, Cooper, Ranis and
Jones acting as co-hostesses.
The program was opened by the
singing of “Little Town of Bethle-
hem.” A prayer was given by Mrs.
Cunningham, and all present sang
“Come All Ye Faithful.”
Mrs. Butler gave an interesting
Christmas story “Te Long Road,”
with Mesdames Warren, Houser,
Cooper and Jones and Blain acting
as characters in the story.
Mesdames Bucy and Minton sang
“Silent Night.”
The basement was beautifully
decorated in Christmas colors, and
a tree with gifts for each one pres-
ent. Refreshments were served to
twenty members and three guests.
