Mrs. Bud Miller of Odessa ar-
rived in Electra Thursday evening
for a visit with her parents, Rev
and Mrs. E. H Coburn. Mr. and
Mrs. Miller were recently transfer-
red from Graham to Odessa by the
Magnolia Company with which
Mr. Miller is employed in the pro-
duction department. Mrs. Miller
reports that she has met numerous
ex-Electrans in Odessa.
Mrs. Dale Dodson returned
home last week from El Paso
where she had been visiting her
husband Pvt. Dale Dodson who is
taking his basic training at Fort
Bliss, El Paso. She has been mak-
ing her home with her husband's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Dod-
son Sr., since her husband enter-
ed military service. Her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Deal, formerly
of Kadane Corner, now residing at
Albany, came after her during the
week end to spend a week with
them in Albany.

Miss Laws to Marry
James E. Morgan
Mr. and Mrs. Elvin E. Laws of
Ray, North Dakota, have an-
nounced the engagement and ap-
proaching marriage of their daugh-
ter, Mavis Lillian to James Ed-
ward Morgan of Electra.
Ho is the son of Mr. and Mrs
E. M. Morgan of Electra.
The wedding will be July 10 at
7 p. m in the First Methodist
Church Church in Eicctra.
She is employed by the Midland
Oil Company at Wichita Falls
Miss Laws attended high school
at Mount Vernon.
The prospective bridegroom
graduated from Electra high
school. He is employed by C P
Nichols in Eicctra. He was grad-
uated from Eicctra high school
and attended Midwestern Univer-
sity and Draughon's Business Col-
lege in Wichita Falls.
The couple plan to make their
home in Electra. A reception will
he held in the church parlor imme-
diately following the ceremony.
