ploye' representatives failed to appear
today with their rebuttal of argu-
ments advanced by the railroad em-
ployers for the abatement of national
agreements ns to wage schedules.
Instend of making appearance th
railroad employes sent in a statemeut
declaring that they had not allowed
themselves sufficient time in which to
prepare their answers and arguments
and asking that postponement be
made until they could complete their
work.
The board upon receiving the com-
munication decided to grant the re-
quest. Word was sent that the em-
ployes could have until next Monday
to make their appearance.
