of the miners' federation today decided to call a '
conference of representatives o ft he miners of all
the coal fields at a date to he fixed tomorrow.
This action was taken after hearing of the
decision of the railway men and transport work-
ers to cancel their sympathetic strike.
Frank Hodges miners' secretary when
questioned regarding the decision said that it
meant that the strike would continue.

LONDON April 15 J. H. Thomas general secretary
of the railway men's union today announced that the rail-
waymen's strike set for 10 o'clock tonight had been call-
ed off.
Thomas said the transport workers' strike had also
been called off.
"As. far as the railway men's and the transport work-
ers are concerned the strike is cancelled" he said.

House of Commons today that the miners had refused to
