ture. After serving this area through
the good and lean years, it's existence
came to a close on Thursday, f/nne 6th,
1969, at a landmark. It had already
been doted at a business center about

The 16th annual Schramm re-
union was held Sunday. June 2,|
1963. at Hill Crest hall. 4 miles
north of Columbus. Texas, with
seventy-five descendants pre-
sent.
A delicious basket lunch
served at noon.
The business meeting was op-
ened with a prayer with Bennie
Schramm, of Victoria, presiding.

a short memorial service conduct
ed by Mrs. Cora Meerscheidt of
San Antonio.

the Industry Methodist I Inirch,
met fo1’ their regular meeting on
W ednesday, June 5th, at 2:30
p.m. in the educational building.
The meeting was opened with a
Devotional program with Mrs.
Toni Rudloff in charge. The pro
grant for the meeting was " 1 he
Biblical Foundation ot Mission”.
The group sung the hymn
“Jesus Is Calling” and the Me-
ditation was by Mrs. Alvin Ben-
der; Bible study by Mrs. I'oni
Rudloff; The Old Testament by
Mrs. A- M. Roos; The New Tes-
tament by Mrs. Alfred Richter.
The business meeting followed
with Mrs. Alfred Richter in
charge. Minutes were read
and approved. The treasurer’s
report was given. The roll call
was answered by 21 members
with a "Bible Verse.”
A new member was added to
the xtH’iety. Miss Esther Spiess.
The shutsin committee report-
ed 38 calls and cards, and the
society 88 calls and cards.
It was decided to have the
July meeting the second Wed-
nesday of the month which
would be July 10th.
The hymn ‘‘Jesus Savior, Pi-
lot Me." was the birthday song
for Mesdames Meta Marburger.
Birdie Luetge and Ella Beck-
man.
With the elosing prayer by
Rev. A. M. Roos, a delicious
lunch was serxed by Mesdames
Alvina Rin-n, Hattie Lindemann,
Frieda Spiess. Lorene Ecker-
tnann and Nora Mohnke.
