Unprecedented Sale at Dickinson.
Within the past three days the new
town of Dickinson just twenty miles from
Galveston on the G., H. & H. railway,
has all been sold with the exception of
one hundred blocks which will doubtless
be closed out before the end of this week.
This is beyond question the most rapid
sale of realty that has taken place since
the Galveston boom sprang into exis-
tence. Those who contemplate investing
in this desirable property will consult
their interests by calling at the office of
Mr. Seabrook W. Sydnor, real estate
agent on Tremont between avenue A and
Strand street, and make a selection of
what they want immediately.
Senator Fisliback, of Arkansas, Makes
Another Investment—The Sales of. G.
A. Meyer and Others for Satisfactory
Prices—Eist of the Transactions Re-
corded To-Day.
The real estate market has been steady
and firm to-day and several transactions
have been made by dealers, who are
still actively pushing the sales. The
prices obtained are satisfactory to all the
parties concerned and the future outlook,
is promising.
The purchase of Senator Fishback, of
Arkansas, of the block between avenues
P and PJA and Fortieth and Forty-
first streets for $3000 is looked upon
as a fair estimate of the value
of the value in that vicinity, and will
perhaps be a guide for those contemplat-
ing an investment.
G. A. Meyer reports sales to Hiram C.
Reder and Robert W. Curtis, of Denver,
of the east one-half of block 334, between
avenues G and H, and Thirty-fourth and
Thirty-fifth streets, for $6000, and a sale
of $2500 worth of property to the same
gentlemen is affirmed.
W. E. Howth & Son made a sale to-
day of sections 14, 21, 26 and 27, Inter-
national lands, Galveston county, at
$7 per acre, in 40 and 80 acre tracts to
citizens in the city of Galveston.
Great interest is manifested in the pur-
chase of Hitchcock property.
The excursion to West Galveston on
March 4 will be one of great importance
to those who wish to deal in desirable
tow n lots, which in a short space of time
will be very valuable.
The principal transfer to-day was that
of lot 11 in block 377, this city, for $3250.
City Collector Maclnerny says that he
is kept busy answering inquiries as to
taxes on property people want to buy.
“This is the best evidence that there is a
boom in realestate,” said he.. “I have a
dozen inquiries where I had one last
year.”
Following are the real estate transfers
made up to 3 o’clock to-day :
