Changes Site
For Meetings
Seven members weighed in
with a net loss of eight and
a quarter pounds for the week
when Tops Chapter 1377 met
Thursday, May 17. Nell Camp-
bell was “best loser” for the
week.
Plans were made to buy a new
set of doctor’s scales and move
the meeting place to the coffee
room of Electra State Bank.
There will be a regular meeting
on Thursday, May 24, at the
new meeting place.

excellent support group.
Thirteen volunteers were hon-
ored at a reception Wednesday,
May 17, for giving 1,128 hours
of their time and talent to help
the students and staff of Dins-
more Elementary School.
Reception was hosted by
members of the Dinsmore fac-
ulty and staff.
Each volunteer was given a
certificate of appreciation. Pins
were given to Donna Brockriede Southerland Light; Class'of

George Jones
Funeral Rites
Are Conducted
Funeral services for George
William Jones, 85, former Elec- . .
tra resident were held at 3:30
p.m. Saturday from the First
Baptist Church in Jermyn.
Burial was in Jermyn Ceme-
tery.
Jones died Thursday in At-
lanta, Texas. A native of
Roxton, Texas, he was born
September 23, 1904 and later
moved to the Jacksboro-Jermyn
area.
He and Mary Keetan, long
time school teacher in the
Electra area were married in
1936.
Survivors include his wife; a
daughter, Mary George (Wal-
ter) Hesse of Pilot Point; a son,
