Mari-Mum.
The name Mari-Mum is de-
rived from a combination of the
terms marigold and chrysanthe- ,
mum and denotes large flowered
American marigolds which look I
like and are used as a late sum- (
mer and fall color plant like
chrysanthemums. I
Mari-mums are hybrids which i
bloom earlier and produce large ’
flowers with a great deal of I
uniformity among plants. Sev-)
eral years of testing in Wichita ’
Falls and across the state by I
extension horticulturists have |
revealed many desirable at-
tributes exhibited by Mari- I
Mums. For example, they: 1. (
are very low maintenance flow- i
ering annuals, 2. are extremely 1
easy to grow when planted in i
full-sun areas, 3. produce more 1
