REACHING HANDS TELL STORY
hands, the design for the Encounter Crusade of
El Paso Baptists, March 5-10 in Liberty Hall, re-
call a true story of heroism. Eight years ago Jesus
Manuel Corral, a bracero, was lowered head first
70 feet into an irrigation well at Dell City to save
the life of a boy, 3, who had fallen into it. The
field hand brought the boy to safety. Today, an
American citizen, he still lives and works in Dell
City. Encounter, the design for the crusade, tells
the story of his bravery and the love of Jesus
Christ for man. Corral is shown with the design.

WE LIKE the sincere interest
shown by County Agent, Cliff
Caskey, and his willingness to
be of service and help to every-
one the amiability of new-
comer to Dell Valley, Lou
Thomas as well as the well-done
Price-Dell Project under the
supervision of W. R. Thomas.,
truly an asset. to Dell Valley..
the potential of Guadalupe
National Park and all that our
Congressman Richard White
has done to help Dell Valley
and Hudspeth County
the avowed support from county
officials to back the much-
needed flood structures for the
county.... WE ALMOST MADE
the winter without even a snow
flurry.... but Tuesday morning
brought a quickly evaporating
"film" of snow before clearing.,
'twas cold Wednesday morning
but clear and sunny

ing. ... or out at the new Fair

Notes
Dell City. .. We should keep a
close watch on the cow herds
in the next few weeks for Vita-
min A deficiency. This will
show up in cattle not receiving
supplemental feeds of good
leafy green alfalfa hay that con-
tains a source of vatamin A.
Symptoms are night blindness
and watering or tearing of the
cattle's eyes. Cattle normally
will store up three months in
the liver from good green grass,
but 3-4 months after frost will
need a source of Vitamin A
till the grass greens up in the
spring.
Cattle may be given Vitamin
A shots or feed supplements
containing vitamin A.
Healthy cows produce a higher
percent calf crop and wean hea-
vier calves for the market.
