Dell Valley Friday night the Community Building was the
scene of the 2nd annual Junior Class Talent Show. The industrious
class of 1968 again showed their willingness and desire to raise
money for the class.
The program was filled with
talent from thus far undiscover-
ed fronts. More than a dozen
participants helped to make the
evening a success for all.
Among those who did not get
some sort of mention from the
judges were the Casey girls. Joy
and Donna are without a doubt
very talented, with their two
part harmony. Lee Anne and
Maxine McNair played a duo
on the piano, very effective 8
almost a lost art. Another high
light of the evening was the
song by little Virginia. Hill, ac-
companied by her mother. The
song was well chosen and the
freshness of Virginia's stage
presence was thrilling.
Special mention will also go
to Jose Gonzalez with a poem,
Johnny Diaz also reciting a
poem, the Choir under the dir-
ection of Mrs. Henry Huffman.
Cindy O'Bannion and Debra
Huffman who presented a hum-
orous poem. And the three-
some of Yvonne, Lisa and Roy-
cee who presented a song.
The winners stood out of all
this talent. In the Senior Divi-
sion wasJ.P. and Ollie Lewis,
Crockett Dean on the fiddle w?s wait until the New Mexico legis-
second, and Honorable Mention lature is out of session before we
to "The Girls" who portrayed
different parts in a skit showed
the rise and fall of a f amily.
In the Junior Division the fir-
st place went to Peggy Gil and
Debra Huffman with a song. - .
second place to the always re-
markable Billy Elias, who this
year sang two songs - one popu
lar, and the other a Syrian song.
Division went to Jayne Gentry-
