City, Texas, passed away
Sunday in a local hospital.
Resident of Dell City for 1
year, formerly of Alpine and
Monahans, Texas. Member
of the Baptist church, he
was a retire oil field driller,
member of Fidelity Lodge
No. 106, and AF SAM, Eu-
reka, Kansas. Survived by
wife, Mrs. Flossie B. Good-
en, of Dell City, daughter,
Dorthea Sitton of El Cerrito
Calif., son, Paul Gooden,
Dell City, Texas, 3 grand-
children, 5 great-grandchil-
dren. 1 sister, Mrs. Pearl
Layfield, Washington, D. C.
Brother, James H. Gooden
of McCamey, Texas. Fun-
eral services were held
at 11 a. m. Wednesday in
the First Baptist Church,
Dell City. Rev. Bob Dono-
hue officiating. Masonic
graveside services in Mona-
hans cemetery, Monahans,
Texas.

Henderson, son of the Farrell
Hendersons of Coleman.
Miss Franklin is a graduate
of Ft. Hancock High School
and Sul Ross State Univer-
sity and is presently teaching
third grade in Clint. Sgt. Hen-
derson graduated from Cole-
man High School and is curr-
ently serving a tour of duty
with the Air Force in Viet
Nam. He will return to the
states December 1 and will
be assigned to duty at Dyees
Air Force Base in Abilene.
Attendants for the bride will
be Carol Cox of O'Brien, now
teaching in Ft. Hancock,Ch-
ula Brown and Melloy Miller
The wedding will be held
in the First Baptist Church
in Ft. Hancock at 7:30p.m.
and everyone is invited.

week that his company's
warm-up feed lot located
just south of Salt Flat will
' soon be warming-up approxi-
mately 8,000 head of steers
out of Mexico.
They expect to have more
than 60,000 head of steers
move in and out of the lot
over a period of twelve mon-
ths.

20th the "Goblins" of the Ft.
Hancock FHA Chapter "brew
ed-up" their annual Mother-
Daughter party in a make-
believe "haunted house",be-
ing the Vocational Agricul-
ture Department.
To start the evenings fest-
ivities FHA President~OIga
Dominguez welcomed the
guests and made introductions.
Karen Wiseman-2nd Vice Pres-
ident was in charge of the
evenings fun.
To carry out the Halloween
theme, the decorations attrac-
ting most attention were large
"ghosts" and hanging spiders
in white , black and orange.
Halloween skits presented,
under dim lights were: "The
Scariest Costume" Narrator
Karen Wiseman and the ch-
aracters were L. G. Oliphant.

dow Olives, Ghost Cookies,
and Witches Punch.

game last Friday night by de-
feating Anthony 2(5-0' It was
the second district game of
the season, the Mustangs ha-
ving lost the first to Grandfalls
the week before. This repre- .
sents Anthony's second district
loss. The Mustangs have a sp-
ecial interest in having won
this game, since both Anthony
coaches, Polly Sanchez and
Lorenzo Almanza, are former
Mustangs.
