grade girls 7-4 in a junior high
game at Elk Gym Thursday
night.
The halftime score was 1-0
Everman. Burleson scored 4
in the third period and 3 in the
fourth quarter while holding
Everman to 3 points in the last
half.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Under-
wood, who were injured in a
two car accident on Thanks-
giving day are home and im-
proving. They were bringing
their 19 month old daughter
home from the hospital when
( the accident happened.
The annual Christmas play
given by the Crowley School
will be Friday, Dec. 10 at 7 ;30
p.m. at the school. The play
will be presented by the first
three grades.
The Gleaners class of the
First Baptist Church held their
regular monthly meeting Wed.
Dec. 1 in the home of Mrs.
Frank House. Coffee and cook-
ies were served to Mmes. E. A.

The Crawley 4-H Club Bake
Sale held Sat., Dec. 4 was a

in marriage Sunday, Dec. 5 at
eight o'clock a.m. at the First
Baptist Church of Crowley by
Rev. Bailey Smith. Mr. and

Club will have a spaghetti sup-
per Tuesday, Dec. 14 from 5
to 8 p.m. in the school cafe-
teria, announced president Ray
Cunningham.
The menu consists of spa-
ghetti and meat balls, salad,
Italian bread, drink and des-
ert. Tickets are adults >1.25
and children under 12 years of
age 75c.

attendants. After a short trip
to Houston, they will make
their home at Route 1, Bom 126,

Mr. Leland Jacobs of 704 E.
Mission is home from the hos-
pital following back surgery.

his home for several months
and would appreciate visitors.

E. Mission has returned home
from a visit with her parents
in Virginia.- She was called
home to attend the funeral of
her grandfather
Linda Kay Hampton was ex-
pected to return home Tuesday
of this week from Fort Worth
Ostepathic Hospital where she
has been receiving medical
treatment.
The Omega Delta Chapter
of Beta Sigma Phi held their
regular business meeting in the
home of Mrs. Deayne Freeman
Dec. 6.
The president, Mrs.
Powell Jr., presided over
meeting. Plans for a Christmas
social were presented.
A buffet dinner is to be held
Dec. 20 in the home of Mrs.
R. L. Stovall.

The Bridgeport Girls Basket-
ball teams defeated the Burle-
son Girls in both the Varsity
and the Junior Varsity game
Friday night at Elk Gymnasi-
um.
The Varsity girls lost to a
fine Bridgeport Varsity team
by a 45-25 score. In the pre-
liminary game, the Junior Var-
sity girls lost 39-34.
The Burleson Varsity Girls
and the Junior Varsity will
travel to Duncanville this
Thursday night to battle the
always strong Duncanville
teams. The preliminary game
wnl start at 7 :(55 P.M., follow-
ed by the Varsity at 8:00 P.M.
