fense and Disaster Relief
Committee conducted a series
of special 30 minute demon-
strations of "mouth-to-mouth
re.'cusitation’ Thursday in

sler Civic Center in Texas

Laurel Annette Chennault And
Ronny Neal Burkett Are Wed
Miss Laurel Annette Chen-
nault and Ronny Neal Burkett
exchanged wedding vows on
October 22 at the Friends
Church in Friendswood. The
Reverend Delbert Veughn of-
ficiated at the doublering ce-
remony.
The bride Is ’he daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Chennault
of Friendswood and the groom
is the «on of Mr and Mrs O.
B. Burkett cf Pearland.
The wedding party passed
into the church through an
archway of fern-bedecked
lighted candelabra. The altar
area was decorated with can-
delabra, candle trees, bur-
gundy and white mums and
gladioli on white pedestals.
Mrs. Floyd Brown Jr. play-
ed the organ, and Doyle Hei-
penstill, uncle of the bride,
sang "Because". "Friendly
Persuasion" and the * Lord’s
Prayer".
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore an ex-
quisite gown of white chan-
tilly lace and silk bombazine,
fashioned in solft -lender lines
featuring a sculptured bodice
and traditional long bridal
sleeves ending in petal points
over the hands. Fine beading
of seed pearls enhanced the
scalloped lace neckline. Over-
laying the dress, she wore a
sleeveless silk bomba zine
coat, etched in deep scallops
of lace, forming a mantilla-
like train. Her veil of silk
illusion was held in place by
a beaded crown. She carried
a bouquet of white roses with
a white orchid center.
Attending the bride were
Rita Chennault of Friends-
wood. Linda Hodges of Hous-
ton and June Wagoner of Gar-
land. They wore street-length
dresses of burgundy velvet
with white fur trim, and a white
lace prayer cap on their heads
Each carried a single long-
stemmed white rose with white
streamers.
Susan Chatham, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Chatham
of Friendswood was flower
girl. She wore an A-linedress
of burgundy velvet with white
lace trim. Ring bearer was
Keith Lilley, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Lilley Jr. of
Pearland.
Attending the groom were
Bill Burkett of Houston as
besi man, and groomsmen
Wayne Wilson and Andy Nel-
son of Pearland. Ushers were

with black accessories and a
white corsage of baby carna-
tions. The mother of he groom
wore a blue dress with a white
corsage of baby carnations.
The reception was in the
church's Friendship Hall fol-
lowing the ceremony. The
bride’s table held a six-tiered
traditional wedding cake, cen-
tered on a white net cloth
with a full-gathered skirt
decked with pink roses and
leaves. Hostesses were Mrs.
Fred Krch and Mr-, Floyd
