Representative of Biology students are Thomas Rives and Gary
Barber, who are learning the anatomy of the digestive system by
dissecting a cat. and Carol Kliner and .Nancy McKirmes. who are
checking charts in their study of the digestive system. Biology 11 ac-
quaints the tudent with a greater depth of under sanding of the basic
biological principles than he normally obtains in Biology 1.
The goal of Biology II is to prepare the college bound student more
thoroughly for college biological courses and to give the student ex-
perience in doing a research type problem.
To obtain the goal of our course we make use of the library and
visual aids along with lectures over the basic biological principles.
Also the student experiences research by carrying out a research
type project. The study of anatomy and physiological proce es of
the body is done by the dissecting of a rat and doing various physi-
ological lab investigations.
