Coach Hoskins said.
All boys and girls over ten
years of age are eligible ro
compete in the Junto rOlym-
pics program. The workouts
are held each afternoon at
5:00 at the Alvin High stadium
under the supervision-of Hos-
kins and Coach Kenneth Mc-
Nutt. Any who desire more
information on the summer
program should contact either
Coach Hosl ins or Coach Me -
Nutt. The deadline for trying
out in the Junior Olympics
program is this Friday after-
noon.

To Astrodome
Saturday, May 28, the Ath- ||
letic club of Alvin High School
held their annual trip This
year the club went to the As-
trodome for a game between
the Astros and the Pittsburgh
Pirates. Some twenty-seven
varsity athletes and five
coaches made the trip to the
afternoon game.

Coach Niel Hoskins, athletic
director of Alvin High School
announced Tuesday that the
oW^Tunior Olympics pro-
gram for Boys and girls would
move into full swing next week
with two track meets in El
Campo The first would be held
on a Tuesday at Ricebird Sta-
dium for the girls. The second
meet is scheduled to be run
off on the following Thur sday
at the same place for the boys.
The meets in El Campo are
of first pla. e by picking up
two victories a piece, in-
cluding Thursday night over
