In this week's study we want to
look at a monster called "WORRY."
As Billy Graham has stated, "Worry
is universal, great men worry, com-
mon men worry-some about world
problems, some about personal prob-
lems." Did you know that physicians
tell us that 70 percent of all illnesses
are imaginary, the cause being men-
tal distress or WORRY. It has been
listed by heart specialists as the num-
ber one cause of heart trouble. Psy-
chiatrists tell us that worry breeds
nervous break downs and mental dis-
orders. So you can see why it is such
a monster and WORRY is like a rock-
ing chair, it will give you something
to do but get you no where.
Is there a cure. Docs God give us
any scriptural help to rid us of this
evil beast called, "WORRY."
YES, God has given us a better
way, an alternative, an escape. Let's
look at it. (Psa 37:5 KJV) "Commit thy
way unto the LORD; trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass." The
word "COMMIT" means to turnover
to, to entrust completely. Now we
know that God has told us many times
in his Word to Trust in Him with all
our heart... In Philippians 4:6 The
Amplified Bible says, "Do not fret or
have anxiety about anything, but in
overycircumstance and in everything
by prayer, and petition with thanks-
giving Continue to make your wants
known to God.” (1 Pet 5:7 KJV) "Cast-
ing all your care upon him; for he
careth for you." God has told us
plainly to cast ALL our CARES on
Him...
Two conflicting forces cannot ex-
ist in one human heart. When
"WORRY" is present "TRUST" can-
not crowd its way in. Someone has
written a little verse which goes:
"Said the robin to the sparrow
I should really like to know,
Why these anxious human beings

years," said Boots Elliott, KSTV

them a free concert." KSTV is mak-
ing sure Monday, September 7th is

rush about and worry so.
Said the spanow to the robin,
Friend I think that it must be,
That they have no Heavenly Father
such as cares for you and me.
Mat. 6:26 tells how Jesus takes
care for the fowls of the air and feeds
them. So how much more does he care
for you. Leant to trust Him, for he is
always trustworthy. Someone has
said, "WORRY is an old man with
bended head, carrying a load of feath-
ers which he thinks is lead.” How
sad. Oh how we need to get our eyes .
focused upward instead of inward.
God never meant for us to be crushed
and burdened under the weight of
care. You can live a worry free life
but you'll have to learn to totally trust
God. God said you could do it and if
God said it we know that it can be
done. Why not start to practice now.
Just cast all those cares on him and
begin to sing a song of praise or
whistle a happy tune knowing that
your in great hands with God.
