LIVED HERE 23 YEARS — "Chevrolet" and "Pearson" are
synonymous words in Alvin, and the man responsible is
George Pearson, one of the members of the strong board of
directors of the Alvin State Bank. Mr. Pearson moved to
Alvin to found the Pearson Chevrolet Co. in 1933. Before
that time he had been office manager of the Bob Robertson
Chevrolet Co. in Houston. Mr. Pearson moved to Houston
in 1928 from Oklahoma, his native $*ate, where he attended
Northwestern State Teachers College. Mr. Pearson is a
member of the First Methodist Church, Lions Club, Brazoria
County Chamber of Commerce, and Alvin Golf Club. He
has served as chairman of the board of First Methodist
Church and as a director of the Lions Club. Mr. and Mrs.
Pearson and their two children, Jim, 10, and Nan, II, re-
side at 1302 Jackson.

the Santa Fe Indians, 65-55, last
week in a District 26-A basket-
ball game.
Penny Alforo tallied 12 lor the
Bulldogs but Robert Bear threw
18 for the losers.
Bully Weeks scored 15 points
as the Sweeny B team prevailed,
59-12.
