In reeporxre to special invitations sent
cut for the members to be present,
there was a large attendance at the
meeting of St. Mary’s Branch, No.
304, C. K. of A., last Tuesday. The
object of the special invitation was the
final adoption or rejection of the new
by- laws, which had previously been
adoped section by section.
Strange to say when it came to a final
vote, the entire set of new by-laws was
rejected, probably owing to the fact
that one section or another did not
please the majority of the members.
At any rate, everybody is satisfied that
they have been disposed of, so as not to
prolong the meetings in future.

Far-Famed Maynooth.
The centenary of the great National
College of Maynooth—which holds so
high a place in the regard and rever-
ence of every Irish ecclesiastic at home
and abroad, particnlnrly of the thous-

— will occur in June, 1S95, and it is.
likely to be a memorable celebration.
The matter was the eubject of special
deliberation at the recent annual meet ■'
inn of the Irish episcopate, in the col-
lege. It hes b**en decided that a com
prehensive committee shall be formed
at once, to consider and curry out all
the arrangements that may be neces-
sary for securing a worthy coramemo
ration of the auspicious incident- The
committee, as at present contemplated,
is to consist of the Archbishops and
Bishops of Ireland, the members and
ex-members of the college staff, sort
two Priests nominated from each dio-
