Our Church is preparing for
the new church year. My wife
and I attended a leadership train-
ing class Sunday afternoon at
our Church. The point of hav-
ing these classes is to attempt to
motivate leaders to reach out to
people, encourage people, and
share the good news with them.
Our Church will be celebrating
125 years of ministry this year.
From a personal standpoint it is
exciting to be part of an organi-
zation that has been serving the
community and reaching people
with the gospel message that
long. Time has taught me that
in today’s world it is a difficult
task at best. I found a poem a

Tulia ISD will continue a program to honor the district’s senior

be granted free general admission to all athletic events held at
Tulia ISD, excluding playoff games. The cards are issued to resi-

"Maroon & White” cards may be obtained at the Superintendent's
Office, 702 NW 8th Street. The district encourages all eligible

This week I watched the mov-
ie “Pay It Forward.”
I have watched it many times
but this time 1 sat and cried. It
reminded me that miracles do
happen and sometimes in the
most unusual ways.
This little boy had what I
would call a vision about what
would happen if people would
just do a good deed and the re-
cipient would do a good deed to
someone else and they m turn
would do a good deed to some-
one else and so on, or in other
words pay it forward. Of course
the little boy was killed doing a
good deed but was remembered
by lots of people that did the pay
forward
In the Guidepost magazine
I read a story of a woman who
was awakened at three a.m. by a
voice telhng her to call her sister
who was away at college. The
woman said she would in the
morning but the voice persist-
ed that she call now. Her sister
lived in an apartment on campus
and it was during finals which
the woman thought that her sister
had studied late to be ready for
the exams, but the voice insisted
that the call be made right then.
The woman gave in and called

The woman went back to sleep
but in the morning the phone what the Bible has to say about
rang and it was her sister call- Salvation, eternal life and how
ing from the hospital After the to deal with the problems we
woman called, the sister got up all have God Bless and have a
to get a drink of water, she felt great week
woozy so she called 911. There
was a gas leak in her apartment
and the phone call saved her life.
I have always felt that the
voice that we are hearing at odd
times is God talking to us 1
have learned to obey this voice
and do what ever the voice tells
me to do God can be talking
to us through the Holy Spirit or
through Jesus or directly to us.
What ever the case 1 believe we
should listen. We never know
when He is trying to get us to
save someone’s life physical-
ly or spiritually Both are very
important. To me it is paying it
forward and a miracle. We are
Jesus’ disciples here on earth
We can and do have orders from
Heaven if we listen and obey
