So how much of a difference
can it make? You be the judge.
“Unfortunately, the test re-
sults indicate that you are going
to die.”
(Eventually.)
Here is another half-truth that
could cause eternal death (sepa-
ration from God in Hell) ...
Jesus said, “I am the way, the
truth and the life ... ”
How is this misleading? It
is not the complete statement;
it’s only half the truth. Left like
this, it waters down the deity of resurrection.
Jesus Christ as the ONLY be-
gotten of the Father.
It leaves the door wide open
for others to pick up where it
left off and deliver false state- father of (someone).
ments such as ... “and I am the
way, the truth and the life. And
so am I ... Our religion is the
way.” Or, “all religions will
lead you to God.” “Hey, why
don’t we just combine them all? Seed, the word of God by the
One world religion.”
Jesus did not come to bring
religion, but draw each indi-
vidual back into a relationship
with our Creator and intro-
duce us to our Heavenly Father
through being bom again from
above.
Jesus said.
“Then if anyone says to you,
‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or
'There!' Do not believe it. For
false christs and false prophets
will rise and show great signs
and wonders to deceive, if pos-
sible, even the elect. See, I have
told you before hand. There-
fore if they say to you, ‘Look,
He is in the desert!’ do not go
out: or ‘Look, He is in the inner
rooms! do not believe it. For as
the lightening comes from the
east and flashes to the west, so
also will the coming of the Son
of Man be.”
Obituary
Now look what happens when
you add the rest of the state-
ment.
“I am the way, the truth and
the life. No one comes to the Fa-
ther (God) except through Me.”
(Parenthesis mine.)
Let’s think about this a mo-
ment ... Jesus is making a bold
statement here, and He leaves
no room for any other person or
a religion to share His glory.
He is stating that as the only
begotten of the Father that He
is truly the only way to obtain
a relationship with the only true
living God.
No man, no matter how high-
ly exalted among men, and no
religion, no matter how many
members, can stand in the gap!
I can’t forgive a person for
their sins, NO human being has
been given that right, but I have
met the One (in the Spirit) who
can and has, through His sinless
life and death on the Cross and

Have you ever been given
half the truth?
When I was in my early 20s
I worked at a training facility/
boarding house for dogs. One
day I was getting a run ready
to board two Great Danes who
were brought in at the last min-
ute.
As part of the check-in rou-
tine I had asked the owner
about the dogs’ disposition, and
she stated that they were “ex-
tremely friendly.”
We had strict policies on
boarding dangerous animals.
I started to fill the water dish-
es when I heard deep growls
and turned slowly to find that
the owner had brought the dogs
in behind me, blocking my exit.
These animals were NOT
friendly; in fact, they were
very aggressive and agitated.
Ears back, snarling with long
white teeth exposed and staring
me straight in the eye. Every
muscle tensed - both theirs and
mine.
(I would have snarled back,
but I didn’t think it would pro-
duce the same effect.)
As they watched my every
move I tried not to show any
fear and calmly asked the own-
er to remove the dogs.
With some reluctance the
woman pulled them back out of
the way.
More than a little rattled, I
confronted her, “I thought you
said these dogs were friendly.”
“Well, they are. They’ve nev-
er hurt us.” (Crickets.)
Ok, now, have YOU ever
given only half the truth?
Yep! Many times.
“BRENDA! Did you eat
that piece of cake I left on the
table?”
“No ma’am.” (I just ate the
icing and threw the cake in the
trash.)
So what is the definition of a
half truth?
A half truth is “a statement
that mingles truth and false-
hood with deliberate intent
to deceive.” (Suppressed evi-
dence)
