Williams’ spike. Arianne Ren-

back-to-back aces and Bejamin

ROSENBERG - Terry man-
aged to provide the Shadow
Creek Lady Sharks with a mild
scare Tuesday night.
After dropping the first two
sets, the Lady Rangers fought
back to capture a down-to-the
wire third game and then chal-
lenged the Lady Sharks again
for most of the fourth set.
However, Shadow Creek fi-
nally exerted its superiority with
a decisive and match-ending
11-0 run in the fourth to gain a
25-18, 25-16, 23-25 and 25-11
victory at Terry High School.

Williams delivers another triple double performance in SC's four-set victory
a second-place tie in the 24-5A
volleyball standings with Rich-
mond Foster with the victory.
Manvel leads both teams by two
matches.
“They (Terry) came in a little
more stronger and consistent,”
Lady Sharks’ head coach Whit-
ney Daniels said following the
match. “We let that rattled us a
bit with the refs and calls here
and there.
“It got us out of our game.”
Most teams facing Shadow
Creek in 2019 have experi-
enced little success getting Lady
Sharks’ senior Alexis Williams
out of her game. The 5-9 outside and 19 digs,
hitter/setter delivered another
triple double performance on
Tuesday with 15 kills, 14 assists side hitter Halle Sanders provid-
ed 19 digs apiece, as well, while
Sanders added eight kills and
five blocks and sophomore Deja
Bejamin rejected eight shots at
the net.
“Alexis is definitely a critical
spark on our team and a bless-
ing to have,” Daniels said. “She
steps in wherever we need her
and also sets for us like she did
in the second game. It’s awe-
some to have her with us.”
“I’m also super excited about
her (Bejamin). She’s one of our
sophomores. She’s definitely
stepping in, getting these blocks
and contributing to our team.”
