Five national educational as-
sociations and the Federal of-
fice of education worked to-
gether for a period of more
than two years to put together
a manual on financial account-
ing for school systems.
Beginning with the school
year 1958-1959, the administra-
tion office of the Burleson
School has been following the
new system. Mrs. Tommie Do-
zier, school secretary, has charge
of the accounting records, and

high schools from al) parts of
Texas competed.
Previous contests on a dis-
trict and area basis had elimi-
nated all by area first place
teams. It was these first place
teams in each of the ten areas
of the state that competed at
Huntsville.
Team members from Burleson
were Alvon Key, Timothy Haven
and Robert Ross. The skill was
“Reversing the Direction of
Rotation on Electric Motor and
Lowering the Voltage from 240
volts to 120 volts.”
We are indeed proud of the
record of these boys.
