Debility
Languor, and Loss of A-ppetite, are ctuwl
by the use of Ayer’s Sarsaparilla. It re-
moves that terrible sense of Constant
Weariness, from which so many suffer,
gives tone and vigor to the stomach, and
restores health and strength more sureh
and speedily than any other medicine.
Three years ago I suffered from Debility
and Loss of Appetite, the result of Liver
Disease. After having tried various rem-
edies, and consulted several physicians,
without benefit, I was induced to take
AVer’s Sarsaparilla. The first bottle pro-
duced a, marked change, and the second
and third accomplished so much that 1
felt like a new man. 1 have, since that
time, taken about one bottle every year,
and had no recurrence of the trouble.—

CANDIDATES ON CLAIBORNE.
The reporter met Mayor Fulton this
morning and asked him what he thought
of Claiborne’s new departure. The chief
executive of the municipality took afresh
grip on his cigar and remarked that if
General Claiborne desired to retire grace-
fully from the race that, in his opinion,
he could only do so by withdrawing in
favor of Hawley, the so-called Demo-
cratic nominee.
■ Mr. J. H. ’Hawley was next encoun-
tered. “What do you think of Senator
Claiborne’s action?” queried the scribe of
the convention candidate. “Well, I be-
lieve that he is at heart a good Democrat,
a perfectly honest man, a man whom I
entertain only the most friendly feelings
for, but I think that he is laboring under
an entire misapprehension of facts. If he
was the Democratic candidate for state
senator then I am certainly the Demo-
cratic candidate for mayor. Nearly the
same men composed the two conventions,
the latter being the most representative
of the two.as no delegate was selected by
less than thirty voters, while some of the
delegates to the former convention were
selected by but nine voters. I think that
Senator Claiborne is hardly ready to write
himself down willingly as a Democratic
bolter and that he will, in case he can be
brought to realize his position, cordially
support the Democratic nominees. Per-
sonally it is a matter of supreme indiffer-
ence to me whether he withdraws or re-
mains in the race.but I do not like to see
forces at work that must, in the very na-
ture of things, tend to disintegrate the
party.
