Funeral Services Held Monday
For Mrs. Mary Ann Cook
ALVERADO (Spl.) — The
funeral service for Mrs. Mary
Ann Cook, 39, of Alvarado was
held at 10 a.m. Monday at the
First Methodist Church there, of
which her husband, Rev. Robert
E. Cook Jr., is pastor.
Justice of the Peace John W.
Adcock rendered an inquest ver-
dict that Mrs. Cook died of an
accidental gunshot wound. Her
jody was discovered by her hus-
band Friday morning, lying on
the floor in a bedroom of the
parsonage, with a single shot
.410 gage shotgun, in a canvas
cover, lying partially across her.
The end of the cover had been
shot out, the charge striking
Mrs. Cook under the chin.
Justice of the Peace Adcock
said he figured Mrs. Cook was
cleaning out a closet, and when
she was removing the gun from
the closet, it discharged.
Mrs. Cook was born in Fort
Worth, Oct 24, 1927.
She was a graduate of Joshua
High School and of Texas Wes- tion of Vaughan Funeral Htime.
