The Dispatcher’s Garden
What* to the cheapest mulch
for trees and shrubs?
Largs flat rocks are quite
common. Place these around
the drip line (outer circumfer-
ence of the tree where the ends
of limbs reach) of the tree. The
rocks collect suitable ground im-
proving organisms on the damp
undersides. Besides they keep
the ground cool and help hold
the moisture in the ground
which is needed for good root
growth. Also they are inex-
pensive.
If you have any questions or
helpful hints about gardening
and flowers send them to the
Dispatcher’s Garden in care of
the Dispatcher.
