is by far the best. Director Ridley
Scott has produced a visually
stunning epic that chronicles more
than twenty years in the life of
Columbus. Unfortunately, the two
and a half hour film often leaves you
feeling as if the movie is a day by
day study of those twenty years. It is
a long, ponderous movie filled with
staged vistas and Wagnerian
crescendos. It is an overly scored film
covered, smothered, and layered with
every lighting effect known to cinema.

are never liked even with many chances to prove
themselves.
When I really need to turn out good work I use the
best combination that I have used and have 100%
confidence in. That usually calls for Kodak film with a
Nikkor lens, if using 35mm. I have no preference on
the camera body. My little Nikon FM takes just as
good a picture as the Nikon F-4, using the same lens
I used to prefer VHC film in the bigger cameras but I
have a love affair going with VPS film from the 120
size up through the 4 X5' size. VPS has been a good
film on my portraits, my baseball teams and my
landscapes but, I still keep my options open
