Mrs. Marlin Marcum, Prin-
cipal and Mrs. Mike Jackson,
and Rev. and Mrs. Rick Kar-
gard. Class sponsors John
Shaller and Jackie Burns and
his wife, Barbara, were special
guests.
The dinner tables held bal-
loon clusters and favors at each
place. An arrangement of yel-
low daisies and bowls of cut
flowers were also used.
Assisting with the service
were Sanja Hext, Brent King,
Taylor and Cannon Tubb and
John Salem Ashley.
Debbie Arrington and Geor-
gia King were in charge of the
diningroom.
Johanna Ashley, in charge
of the kitchen, was assisted by
Julie Culver, Jane Arrington,
Mary Ann Ashley, Valerie
Isaacs, Sue Tubb and Cleo
Isaacs.
Other women of the church
brought food.
Business
Presentations
The annual Senior Banquet
hosted by the women of the
First Presbyterian Church was
held Monday evening in the
church Fellowship Hall.
The speaker for the evening
was Russell Mitchell of Booker,
himself a Canadian High
school graduate. Ashley spoke
on the theme, "Following Your
Dream”, urging his listeners to
set goals and follow them to the
end.
The dinner menu included
appetizers of fresh vegetables
and dip, beef brisket, twice-
baked potatoes, green beans,
hot rolls, chocolate cake and
beverages.
Seated at the head table in
addition to the speaker and his
Xi Alpha Beta Rho chapter
of Beta Sigma Phi met at the
YMCA Tuesday evening. The
program, brought by Ione
Mixon, was a video of the
dance, "Achy Breaky Heart".
Members of the group prac-
ticed the popular dance step.
Doreen Purcell presided at
the meeting. Those present
signed a get well card to be
sent to Laurie Hale, a member
of another chapter.
An election of officers will be
held at the first meeting in
April.
The group voted to send for
a party packet for possible fu-
ture use.
The treasurer announced a
balance of $257.12.
The hostess, Dian Williams,
and her co-hostess, Becky Wil-
son, served fresh vegetables
and dip, two sweets and iced
tea to those named and to Tina
Ezzell, Lisa Edwards, Deana
Gardiner, Mary Hiemstra, Nan
Ezzell and Kylene Mixon and
Jokari Edwards, guests.

Ellison and her son, Tyler
Keith, was held by members of
Beta Alpha Omicron chapter of
Beta Sigma Phi at their meet-
ing Monday night in the home
of Vickey Broadbent.
Refreshments of punch, nut
cups, fruit pizza, cookies, mints
and vegetables and dip were
served.
Hostesses in addition to
Mrs. Broadbent were Marilyn
Smith, Theresa Conger and
Karla Shrader.
Terri McCormick presided
at the meeting.
Secret sisters were thanked
for various courtesies.
An invitation was read from
the Pampa City Council invit-
ing the chapter to make plans
to attend the Northwest Area
Convention there in the fall.
Terri reminded members to
get their Glamor picture
coupons sold soon so the
money can be sent in. The pic-
tures will be scheduled for
Friday, April 16, from 11 a.m.
to 8 p.m., and Saturday, April
17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sit-
tings are $14.95 and must be
scheduled with any Beta Alpha
Omicron member.
Members signed up to take
meals to Nancy Schwerzen-
bach and her new son, Sam,
and their family.
Present in addition to the

Betsy Alexander, and her
friend from college, Sheila Mc-
Cord of Newcastle, Oklahoma.

A demonstration on making
gift boxes out of greeting cards
was given by Christina
Hadaway for members of
Alpha Eta Zeta chapter of Beta
Sigma Phi Monday evening.
Also demonstrated was
making "church babies" from
handkerchiefs.
Kim Lewis and Gwen
Walker were hostesses, in the
Lewis home.
Mrs. Lewis conducted the
meeting, mentioning the area
convention in November in
Pampa and the state conven-
tion in Austin June 25-27.
The chapter will host
Founder’s Day this year. Plans
for the event were discussed.
Baked potatoes with top-
pings, brownies and raspberry
tea were served to those named
and to Lisa Johnson, Melanie
McQuiddy, Dee Dee Briant,
Trayce McCallister and
Maureen Mosley.
The pre-school children
from Rachel’s Little House en-
joyed a special preview of
"Aladdin" at the Palace
Theatre Friday morning,
March 5th.
The youngsters each had a
Coke and a box of popcorn for a
snack. Following the special
viewing the pre-schoolers had
pizza for lunch from The Pizza
Hut.
