Was Raised in 1.918.
Blythe, Texas January 25f 1919,
To Whom It May Concern:
I have lived and farmed in (Saines county for
t'-n vcars and have never made a complete failure in
my crop?. For the year P.) 18 I raised by actual weigh t
and measure 35 bushels ui' good Strawberry corn.
Other crops did equally as well.
Yours truly,
J 1). Cowling.

Blythe, Texa-. Dec. 29, 1918,
To Whom It May Concern:
1 have lived in Gaines county, Texa?, ten years the
2<Uh day of September 1918, and each year since that
time have raised a crop, This county is seasonable
and easily farmed, and I have made money here by
farming. Some years have raised as much as 40 bush-
els of corn per acre. In 1918 my corn yield was only
25 bushels, which I consider good under the circum-
stances. My cotton this year has averaged 3-4 bale
per acre, and the stand was r,ot a good one by any
means. I estimate that m.y corn and cotton ciop for
the year 1918 have paid for the land and left me easi-
y a profit in cash of 200 per cent, based on valuation
of $15 per acre, which is^the prevailing price around
me. Yours truly, P. B, COB.
Come and talk to such men—see th« crops they grow
on low priced land, then consider our healthy country,
pure water, no hot winds and you will buy.
Remember these lands are being sold to actus) set*
tiers at a low valuation, small cash payment and con
Aenient terms.
