TWENTY YEARS AGO
Two violent thunderstorms
roared through Delta County
Sunday, the first during the morning
hours and the second at dusk; both
with displays of brilliant lightening.
The only major damage reported
was at the Mickey Brackeen farm in
the Antioch Community, where
lightening killed 11 head of cattle
It looks like Delta County finally
has an oil well. A well that is
expected to be in production within
two or three weeks, depending on
the weather
The February meeting of the Tom
A. Lambeth Dramatic Club was held
in the home of Ruth Scott.

Exposition and Livestock Show.
The Cooper 8"' Grade Dawgettes
were named the 93-94 District
Champions with and undefeated
season with a record of 16-0.

Cooper has been selected as a
probable site for building an ice
plant.
The Paris Ice Company has
agreed to install the plant if an
adequate supply of water can be
assured.
Walter Hazlewood is having a
building erected across from the
Thornton Hotel and will install a
bottling works and ice cream plant.
