injured in a car accident last
Friday evening. The same wreck
involving two other care re-
sulted in death to Ray E. Fa-
gan 40, his wife Mary Frances
Fagan, 35, and her son, Dennis
Wayne Wasaon, 13, of Dallas.
The third car was driven by
Jack Edward Langley,’ 18, of
Everman, he was not injured.
According to police, the steer-
ing mechanism failed on the
Fagan's automobile, causing it
to cross the median and collide
with the two other automobiles.

The three month old daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Ronny J. Tom-
’ inson was killed and her sis-
ter, Sherarolyn Kay and Mrs.
Tomlinson were seriously in-
jured in a two - car collision
Friday afternoon. The car Mrs.
Tomlinson was driving struck a
rain-slick spot on the highway,
went out of control and col-
ided with a vehicle driven by
J. T. Sims of Glen Rose. He
received cuts and bruises.
• Besides the parents and sis-
ter, little Sherrie Christine is
survived by her grandparents,
Hr. and Mrs. Ed Goodspeed of
it. 1, Burleson, and Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Tomlinson, Cle-
burne, great grand parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Forrest Harwell, Cle-
burne, and Mr. and Mrs. Ruel
Tomlinson of Garland.
The father, of the child in a
nephew of Mrs. 0. B. Horton
of Burleson.
Funeral services were held
Sunday at 3 p.m. in the First
United Methodist Church in
Joshua, with the ReV. John H.
McDaniels officiating. Inter-
ment was in Rose Hill Ceme-
tery under the direction of
Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home.

Meeting Called Saturday For
Those Interested In Boys Baseball
AU coaches, umpires and any
others interested in summer
baseball for Burleson Boys in
the Burleson Recreation Assn,
program are urged to attend a
meeting at 4 p.m. Saturday,
March 14, at the City Office
building.
Plans for the upcoming sea-
son will be discussed in connec-
tion with lining up coaches, um-
pires and other volunteer help,
said Richard Jones, president
of the association.
Use of the new park and new
baseball diamonds will be out-
lined and tentative plans made
for scheduling the summer’s
activities.
Especially important ■ is that
all men be present who may
be interested in being a coach,
manager or umpire. Parents
who can assist in other ways
also are invited to attend.

The Burleson Senior Citizens
Club met Thursday, March 5,
in the Fellowship Hall of the
First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. P. W. Johnson, presi-
dent of the club, presided over
a brief business session, in
which the electien of new of-
ficers was discussed- Names

held at the next meeting. Many
of the members were ill, and
they were remembered in pray-
er. ■ • "
Everyone was glad to have
Mr. Caton, minister of the First-
Christian Church, back, after a
few weeks absence.
Paul Stewart, Educational
Director of the First Baptist
Church brought an interesting
devotional “Encounter With
People”, using as his scripture
Mark 1:12.
. At the noon hour lunch was
served to forty-four members
and visitors. Hostesses were
Mrs. David McHenry. ’Sirs.
Grace Bransom, Mrs. O. M.,
Hewett and Mrs. F. G. Jeffrey.
The afternoon was spent in
playing games and visiting. The
next meeting will be held Thurs-
day, March 19, in the Educa-
tional Building of the First
Baptist Church. An invitation
is extended to all senior citi-
zens of the community to at-
tend.

the couple will live in Bridge-
gate Apartments, Euless. The
bridegroom is employed as a
Manager Trainee for J.'0. Pen-
ny’s. in North Park, Dallas. The
bride Is employed At Volks-
Products Corporation,
Fort Worth.
The bridegroom is a gradu-
ate of Tarleton State College
where hia bride attended. He
was a member of Los Cabel-
leros Social Club and she was
a member of DST Social Club.
