Everyone enjoyed the de-
licious food which covered
the long tables set up under
the trees
Mr Miller B Dickey.
Chairman of the Central
High Committee, presided
over a short business meet-
ing Mr Dickey, a former
teacher himself, introduc-
ed the teachers of Central
High Their years of teach-
ing ranged from the 1920 s
to the early 1940’s. Those
present were: Elizabeth
Garner, Floyd Wallace,
Burrell Avara, Jessie
Odom Coats, Harland Dic-
key, Ona Anwine Jenkins
Margaret Fuqua Griffith,
Anola Satterwhite Martin,
and A B Allen, who was
principal from 1922 to 1928
Mr Wyatt ‘Rabbit” Sum-
mers was ill and unable to
attend the homecoming
Lucille Wilson assisted
Charlene Martin with the
drawing for the quilt. Little
Carla Rogers drew the win-
ning number 184 And who
was the lucky winner.
Lucille’s son-in-law. Mr Al
Navarro of Carson City.

The day was spent visit-
ing and singing A good
time was had by all A vote
of thanks should go to the
hard-working committee
members who made this
homecoming the largest as
well as a great success
The homecoming was
dedicated as a memorial to
the memory of the many
past friends and students of
Central High A memorial
fund has been established
for the upkeep of the build-
ing and grounds Contribu-
tions will be accepted at
any time

her cousin. Mrs. Verda Nell
