Discussion Here
At Club Meeting
With approximately 40 persons pre-
sent, discussion of highway IK was
the main feature of Tuesday's lunch-
eon club gathering. VisLors were at
the meeting from .Stamford, Spur, (Ur-
iah and Jayton.
W. A. French, division engineer,
made the main speech of the day, stat-
1 ug that the highway department was
ready n> start work on highway IX
just as soon as this county obtained
tin- right-of-way.
Dewey I.. Granbery of Spur stated
that Die ken's eouiuy's right-of-way
had been secured and most of it ap-
proved and that they were ready to
start, work. Short talks were made
by most of the visitors.
Reports of the various committees
ol the club was potponed until next
Tuesday's meeting. The club was
organized last week, and indications
are that the membership will soon
exceed forty members.
County Judge Leonard Westfall had
charge of Tuesday's program.
