the Mt. Vernon Independent
School District, after discus-
sion of a proposal to construct
two regulation tennis courts
on 1he school campus, voted
to advertise for. bids for
construction of the courts at
their meeting Monday night.

the opening of same at the
regular meeting of the board
on October 14.
Supt. Walter Sears told the
board he hoped to have plans

Five Accidents Result In Several Citations Here
A minor accident was
investigated in the parking lot
of Mt. Vernon Restaurant No.
2 Monday, September 2 which
occurred at about 5:45 p.m. A
1972 Oldsmobile, driven by
Henry A. Soulie, Bay St.
Louis. Mississippi, was park-
ed in front of the restaurant
and when the driver backed
out it and a 1972 Mercury,
House, a passenger, was
taken to Franklin County
