Governor Dolph Briscoe
has approved two criminal
justice grants totaling $81,112
for improving law enforce-
ment and justice in the area
served by Ark Tex Council of
Governments. Texarkana
Ark Tex COG serves the
counties of Bowie, Cass,
Delta, Franklin, Hopkins,
Lamar. Morris, Red River
and Titus.
A supplemental grant of
$3,060 to the Ark Tex COG will
furnish basic training for
student officers of the region.
The regional police training
classes will be offered by the
COG academy located at
Kilgore Junior College
The city of Texarkana
receives $78,052 to initiate a
