GOOD ROADS CONVENTION.
The second annual convention of the
State Good Roads Association is called
to meet in Waco, Texas, April 12th and
18th. The object of this association is
to promote the interest of public road
improvement and to secure better
highways throughout the State. This
is a propitious time to consider and
agita'e this important question. The
proceedings of this convention will
comprehend discussion upon the most
scientific methods of public road con-
struction, modern means of equalizing
the taxation, and providing other cost,
and will include addresses upon the
social, economic and commor^al value
of good roads In the State’s develop-
ment. The question of good roads is
a paramount one now before the peo-
ple of Texas and we hope this meeting
will evolve plans that will go a long
way toward the solution of this great
problem. ____
