Glory! It is our sincere wish
that 1973 will be a year of
health, happiness and
prosperity for all of you good
readers.
Holidays have brought a lot of
coming and going here as in
other areas
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Doty were
here from Garden City, Kans.,
visiting in the home of her sister
and family, the Garrett Spit-
zers, and also with her mother,
Mrs. Lottie Wienke, who is now
making her home at Rice
Springs Care Home in Haskell.
Mrs. Wienke was able to come
spend Christmas Day at the
Spitzer home and enjoy
Christmas dinner with them
and their families.
Visitors in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Charlie Letz during
the Christmas holidays were
three of iheir children and
families, Mr. and Mrs. Roger
Letz. Rneer and Kathv Lu of

Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry
Callicoate, Guy and Jill of
Midland, and Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Letz, Bryan and Lori
Ann of Levelland. Also a
grandson and his wife, Mr. and
Mrs. Michael Vanderworth of
Wichita Falls.
The Thomas Letzes also
visited with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. C. T. Pierce and
Denice. The Pierces other
daughter and husband, Mr. and
Mrs. Ricky Suggs of Lubbock
were here also.
The Jerry Callicoates also
visited with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Delos Callicoate.
Mr. and Mrs. Beno Hert-
tenberger visited in Fort Worth
with their daughter and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Simmons
and son, during the week before
Christmas, and then enjoyed
Christmas Day dinner in the
home of a son and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Malcolm Hert-
tenberger and Lane in Rule.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ray
Gerloff and their daughter and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Andy
Miles and Shawna, all of Belen,
N. Mex., were here visiting in
the home of .Gerloff's mother,
Mrs. Katie Gerloff, on
Christmas Day. That evening
Mrs. Gerloff accompanied them
to Abilene to visit in the home of
another of her sons and his wife,
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gerloff.
Mrs. Leland Ashorn was a
recent visitor in the home of
Mrs. Emma Klump. Mrs.
Ashorn has been spending a lot
of her time in Stamford with her
son and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Ashorn and daughter,
while her husband is in Tyler
receiving treatment at the East
Texas Chest Hospital. Reports
are that he is improving and it is
indeed the hopes of all his
friends that he will continue to
do so.
Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Spitzer
and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Spitzer
attended a family gathering at
the home of their mother, Mrs.
Fred Spitzer, in Haskell on
Christmas Eve.
Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Roberts
and children of Kaufman visited
here with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Martin Letz, at Christmas,
and they also visited with her
brother and family, the Allen
Letzes.
Other visitors in the Allen
Letz home included her sister,
Mrs. Wesley Tabb of Houston,
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Elliott and
their daughter and family, the
Bill Kolbs, all of Arlington.
They also visited with their
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Klump at Rice Springs Care
Home in Haskell, as did
numerous other relatives and
friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Letz had all
of their children home for the
Holidays, Stephanie from
Odessa, Reva from of La mesa,
Regina of Angelo State
University in San Angelo, and
Russell of New Mexico State
University, Las Cruces. The
family all enjoyed Christmas
dinner in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Bean in Stamford.
Visitors in the home of Mrs.
Minita Newman have included
Mr. and Mrs. Mac Newman and
children of De Ridder, La., Mr.
and Mrs. Terry Newman of the
Marshall Islands, Mr. and Mrs
Billie Lackey and children of
Houston. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ivey

Randolph Williamson were
married Dec. 27 in First
Christian Church in Lubbock.
The double ring ceremony was
performed by Dr. Dudley
Strain, minister.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Riddel. Mr.
and Mrs. Dalton Williamson of
Natchez, Miss., are parents of
the bridegroom.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
silk organza veiled over peau de
sois. Peau'd arge lace en-
crusted with pearls accented
the ring neck and empire
bodice. Her matinee length veil
edged in lace, cascaded from a
calot of peau de sois and beaded
lace.
Sarita Riddel of Houston,
cousin of the bride, was maid of
honor. Best man was Jerry
Williamson of New Orleans,
brother of the groom. Ushers
were Michael Taylor of Lub-
bock, Ralph Riddel Jr. and
Ronald Riddel of Houston.
The bride has been attending
Texas Tech University where
she was an honor student and a
member of Phi Mu social
sorority. The bridegroom is a
graduate in Chemical
Engineering at Louisiana State
University. He is a member of
Sigma Chi social fraternity and
the following honorary
organizations Phi Beta Sigma ,
Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi and
a member of the American
Institute of Chemical
Engineers. He is attending the
University of Chicago under the
Myra Smith scholarship and is
doing graduate work in
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Diers and
Kimberly of Sagertnn and Bill
Diers of Stamford.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Letz
spent the Saturday before
Christmas at a family gathering
in the home of their son and
wife, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Letz
of Haskell.
Then on Sunday the Herman
Letzes had as their dinner
guests, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin
Letz, Mr. and Mrs. Freddy Letz
and Mrs. Hise, all of Haskell
and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Denton
and sons Todd and Chad of
Mesquite.
Mr. and Mrs. Sprout Baldree,
Susan and Marcene, had as
their guests on Christmas Day
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Baldree of
Abilene, and Mr. and Mrs.
Vernon Surratt, Jr. and Nikki of
Rotan. Then as a belated
Christmas present Mr. and Mrs.
Mike Baldree presented them
with a grandson Dec. 28 at 11:46
p.m. He was born at Hendricks
Memorial Hospital in Abilene,
weighed 6 lbs. 8 ozs., and was
named Christopher Micheal.
