It has been alleged that I have condoned the operation of a business in Johnson
County in violation of the Law. It has never been, nor will it ever be my policy to
arrest any person or persons without adequate proof as required by the
Constitution of the United States and the laws of the State of Texas.
Since this Department and the Department of Public Safety arrested the previous
owners and closed the establishment for illegal activities, subsequent
investigations by the Intelligence Division of the Department of Public Safety have
not established evidence of illegal activity of the present management.
My personal feelings toward the operation of any business in Johnson County
do not prevail over the law.
If re-elected, I will continue to endeavor to enforce the Law with impartiality and
integrity. Your support is needed and appreciated in order for me to continue these
policies.
