The Varsity Girls’ Chorus
from Burleson High School
received a first division
rating in both concert and
sight reading at the Cisco
Senior Music Festival last
weekend.
A second division rating in
both concert and sightread-
ing was awarded the drill
team chorus and the mixed
chorus received a second
division in concert and a
third division in sightread-
ing.
A first division trophy and
a Best in Class trophy was
won by the varsity girls’
chorus and second division
trophies were won by the
other two choirs.
Next Tuesday, March 16,
the choirs from the high
school will compete in the
annual UIL Concert and
Sightreading Contest at UT-
Arlington. )
Next month, April 9-10, '
the choirs will perform in a
musical, “Brigadoon” in the
main gymnasium at the high
school.
