The Inter Club Council of the Val-
ley Girl Reserves met Saturday at the
Christian Church for their regular
monthly session. Every town in the
Galley, sponsoring a Girl Reserves
Club was represented there being
about forty present.
Luncheon was served by members
o.f the local Girl Reserv.es Club, dress
ed in uniform. The table decorations
were nasturtiums, while favors of
roses were given the honor guests.
Clever menu cards featured an appro
priate camp menu, and included
creamed chicken on toast, browned
new potatoes, beans, pickled
vegetable salad, and apricots
whipped cream and nuts.
Following luncheon, a business
sessions was conducted, the meeting
being opened with devotional ser-
vices.
Each Camp Chairman reported
what, the Girl Reserves had done for
the Camp at Rio Hondo. The McAl-
len chairman reported all the curtains
had heen made, pcessed, and were
ready for shipment to Rio Hondo. •
Plans for the Spring Conference
which opens the first of April were
also discijssAd. * It was announced
that the McAllen. Mission, and Pharr
girls would spend the week end of
Apr!) 13th at Camp Rio Hondo, and
that they would be joined by every
Girl Reserve in the Valley on the
evening of the 14th for a Treasure
Hunt and general good time.
The Council voted to buy Mrs. Ro-
binson of Edcouch, who was formerly
Miss Irene Hearne, and Valley Y. W.
C. A. Secretary, a portable Victrola
