AUGUST CRUDE OIL
PRODUCTION
Texas preliminary August crude oil
production averaged 1,529,626 bar-
rels daily, down from the 1,618,636
barrels daily average of August
1992.
The preliminary Texas oil production
figure for August is 47,422,101 bar-
rels, down from the 50,177,686 bar-
rels reported in August 1992.
The October total included 737 per-
mits to drill new oil and gas tests, 35
to re-enter existing well bores, 33 to
deepen existing holes, 162 to plug-
back existing holes, and 77 for other
wells. October’s amended drilling
permits totaled 155.
Total drilling permits issued in 1993
year-to-date is 10,637, a one per-
cent decrease from the 10,690 is-
sued during the same period of
1992.
Permits issued in October included
443 oil, 207 gas, 511 oil and gas, 16
injection, 10 disposal, and 12 other
permits.
