Mrs. Wm. Schoellmann, of
Nada, who has been ill for a
long time, is able to be up and
about again, and visited at
her son-in-law, Mr. D. B. Freis
a few days last week. From
there she went to her son’s,
Mr. E. P. Schoellmann, where
she will visit a while. We are
glad to hear that Mrs. Schoell-
mari is doing so well.
Quite a crowd of folks vis-
ited at Mr. and Mrs. Ben Freis
last Sunday.
Jtfrs. Charlie Lamkin visited
at Nada last Friday.
Miss Mninie Jurasek visited
’ with Mrs. Joe Blumrich last
Tuesday evening.
Mr. Walter Freis and father
D. B. Freis returned home
from Gillett last Friday and
were accompanied home by
his sister, Mrs. Andrew Wei-
, gle dnd Miss Lucile Wejgle.
Mr. Walter expects, to retunn
next Wednesday. He will work
during the ginning season for
Mr, Charlie Eggermeyer.
Mr. v Joe Podisva, age 77,
died at his home last Thuri-
day and was buried at the
Nada cemetery last* Friday.
We were sorry to learn of
the death of Mr. Charley Buz-
ek, who got killed in Houston
while working on the electric
light plant there. His remains
were sent to El Campo Sun-
day morning and was buried
at Nada cemetery Sunday af-
ternoon at four o’clock.
This community was visited
by a little rain last Wednes-
day. Cotton is doing fine in
this community and most farm-
ers are through making hay
and putting up other feed
stuff.
Mr. L, P. Barry and Mr. Ed
Schoellmann visited at Mr Ed
Giestmann’s last Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Freis
visietd at Nada last Monday.
Miss Minnie Jurasek visited
with Mrs. Ben Freis Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bodun-
geeon were among the Nada
folks Saturday.
