On June 14th, the leathernecks,
their wives and their minister
held their opening service in their
new white, shingled church. It
culminated more than a year of
saving, planning and work.
Rev. Hyde summed the pro-
ject up briefly. “I didn’t plan to
stay here permanently,” he said,

We are pleased to announce to
the brotherhood our plans of be-

than October 1st. We received
mail from a total of thirty-one
different states in the union, plus
Mexico and Estevan, Sask., Can-

from twenty-four states a month.
About fortv percent of the re-
sponses to the program were
from thn9R who were not mem-
bers of the Lord’s church.
Our main reason for discon-
tinuing the program was a
financial one. The program
costs $28 00 for each fifteen

churches have contributed in
times past to the support of this

Early this year, with a finan-

than $1,000 raised for the build-

bought the church’s present site.
