What I Owe My Minister
I owe him respect as the am-
bassador of God, sent to teach
me a better way of; living than
the selfish, sordid existence I
might be guilty of but for his
guidance.
t.
I owe him enough of my time
to help him in his work when-
ever he may need me.
I owe my minister the pro-
tection of kindly silence by re-
fraining from repeating, in his
presence, the slander of unkind
gossip that would worry him
and prevent him from doing his
best.

This is indicative of the Intense
competition which Japanese
must face in this society. Of
those 1101. only 120 got to en-

We are at the present de

States who are Interested in
seeing the cause of Christ ad
vanced through the process of
Christian education. We be-
lieve this is a very effective
method of spreading the gospel
of our Lord here.
This does not take the place
of the church, and therefore
everyone of us who came here
In the interest of Christian
education is also working with
a local church in an effort to
build up the church in Japan
We know, however, that the
school Is having an effect on
this community and also upon
much of Japan because of these
students who go out from here
with a knowledge of or a deep
faith in Jesus of Nazareth
Although a friendly welcome
before or after the worship
service is helpful, they feel that
a longer asociation together is
needful As a solution to the
problem two or three couples
each invite one (non-member)
