The temporary "freeze" in oats
and barley was based on the high-
est prices in major markets dur-
ing the five day period from Nov.
29 to Dee 3. 1948. Th* tem-
porary sorghum grain ceilings were
set at prices approximating parity
at the following basic points:
$2 36 a hundredweight a1 Kansas
City; $2.40 a hundredweight at
Texas common points, and $2.74
at Los Angeles and Ban Francisco.

torney Turner has talked to groups
of school children visiting the
courthoiise on county, state and
national governments and has ex-
plained how the various courts op-
erate. Other officers of the court-
house have also explained to the
children the functions of their of-

learning government first hand in-
stead of through their books. Tur-
ner will discuss at this time the ,
use of the courthouse as a lab-
