your canine trlends are worried
about the possibilities ol a dog |
draft, tell 'em to forget it, the vol-

When the Louisiana Kennel Club ,
called for 15 dogs to be trained Jor 1
war duty, officials were swamped '
with replies Dozens ot owners said I
they had dogs and that the club i
would be welcome to them for the j
duration
If anything, the response was a
little over-enthusiastic, for the club
only wants dogs to attend the |
classes and then go home, not pu- j
plls for a canine boarding school
'I he class ot 15 and succeeding
groups will be trained as part of
tne Dogs tor Defense project under i
which dogs will be taught how to ,
perform sentry and messenger duty i
on a national scale lor use by the '
army.
Such dogs a.s German shepherds
