in the parade, which we think

dence thnt the Japanese current
shifting closer to the mainland, ac-
cording to David B. I.evake, ama-
teur meteorologist and oceanog-
rapher. and engineer on nn Amer-
ican oil tanker plying Pacific
waters.
For the last four years I^vake
has taken temperatures of Pacific
waters as he has sailed up and
down tse coast.
"The temperatures from Capo
Blanco north have hecome higher
during the last two years" he said.
"There is little difference in sum-
mer and winter, the average now
being 60 deyrrees where it was pre-
viously 48 degrees.
"Off the California coast the
temperature of the water has been
droeplnc."
