tral’s first endeavor of this
type, but already plans are un-
derway for a better and bigger
youth program in the future.

prayers, ushered, directed
parking and assisted in various
ways. Ladies of the congrega
tion prepared food.
Other young people at Central
advertised, telephoned friends,
wrote letters and designed bul-
letin boards at the church
building.

in Huntsville and North Alaba-
ma.
There were 652 present for
the evening service. After
Clyde Lee's sermon and invita-
tion, 25 teenagers confessed
their sins.
Deacons' Idea
The deacons first conceived
the idea of a dynamic summer
youth program climaxed by a
youth forum. They presented
this to the elders and when
plans were approved, they
sought to find a young man
from one of the Christian Col-
leges who had experience in
working with young people.
Joe Tomlinson, Jr. was asked
to teach special classes on
Christianity; to plan and exe-
cute a Youth Visitation Pro-
gram, do substitute preaching
and song leading, assist in Va-
cation Bible School, and organ-
ize this area-wide youth forum
The program included Tom-
my Bennett, of Donelson,
Tenn., who is also President of
the David Lipscomb College
student body. He spoke on

Sets Series
On Revelation
CHATTANOOGA — H. A.
Dixon, president of Freed-
Hardeman College, is scheduled
to be at East Brainerd October
2631 for a special series of les-
sons.
He is nationally known as a
writer, an educator, and a gos-
pel preacher. He is the author
of “Saving Faith and Other
Sermons.” Dixon has been in-
vited to deliver his series af
lessons on the Book of Revela-
fttik.
There will be an evening sea
sion of one and one-half or two
hours on Friday, another simi-
lar session on Saturday eve-
ning, and then on Sunday
morning the Bible study period
and the regular morning ses-
sion will be used. The dosing
lesson in the aeries is
for the evening worship
6 p.m. EST.

At Eastdale
CHATTANOOGA - Bill Bur
ton of Tulsa, Okla., a future
missionary to Italy, concluded
a gospel meeting with the East-
dale congregation Aug. 15.
During the 8-day series atten-
dance was better than usual
and there was one response.
The Burton family plans to
' leave in June of 1966 for Rome
Italy, for three and one-half
years of mission work. They
will be supported by the Memo-
rial Drive congregation in Tul-
sa where Burton is now the
minister.
Burton and his wife, Jo Ann.
have three children: Debra
(11), Jim*9) and Gina (4). They
have been at Memorial for
three years. Burton is now in
the process of raising his work-
ing fund and travel fund.

Daniel Preaches
In Buena Vista
CHATTANOOGA — Homer A.
Daniel of Chattanooga was re-
cently in a revival meeting
with the Buena Vista congrega-
tion in Nashville, Tenn., which
had 11 responses, five baptisms
and six restorations.
Bob Davis of the Una church
led songs.
Daniel was with the Science
Hill congregation in Murfrees-
boro, Tenn., August 615:
Greenway, Ark., August 22-2®
and will be with New Prsvi-
dence Church in ClarksviDa,
Tenn., September 1618. -
Daniel has labored with five
congregations in the Chattanoo-
ga area and is now devoting his
time to evangelistic work. Ms
