Steve and Terri Irwin struggle to get a jaw rope around a 12-foot croco-
^flf in the adventure comedy The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course.
Right, Irwin tackles a saltie in the mud. The film opened recently local-
ly and brings the popular TV star to the screen for the first time.

Irwin’s

Croco-dile
Hunter:
Collision
Course is
comparable
to that of
his hit TV
show,
which is seen locally on cable.
Irwin does a tremendous job
capturing audience attention with
near-miss bites and incredible antics
that are unmatched.
The plot, however, is another
story. Crocodile Hunter: Collision
Course has a dry and unrealistic
story line—one that even the basic
film goer will miss. Even children
who see this one will wonder about
the point.
Nevertheless, the movie is very
entertaining and will make movie-
goers squirm in their seats.
Irwin can handle death rolls
with hungry crocs, bird-eating spi-
ders and venomous snakes without
being bitten.
So, these special agents don’t
have a chance.
This film is entertainment that
will make viewers laugh and squirm
simultaneously. Those without
cable can now see what their friends
have been talking about.

■ More accustomed to fighting croco-
Jflfliles in Australia, Steve Irwin attacked the
» asphalt jungle of the Metroplex recently.
With infectious enthusiasm, he visited
Dallas-Fort Worth to promote his new
I movie Crocodile Hunter: Collision
]^^ourse.
■l Irwin and his wife Terri, extremely
■popular wildlife experts, arrived prepared
■to discuss their lives, love for animals and
■everything between.
The couple began by explaining the
■complexities of the fdming process of their
■oovie that began early in 2000.
■ According to Terri Irwin “working
fl^with 150 people” was the most difficult
thing about making their new movie.
Making the TV show usually only involves
j four to six people and getting that many
people working toward the same goal was
huge challenge,” she said.
fl Steve Irwin also told how they would
rescue joeys (baby Kangaroos) and raise
them to be released. Irwin attributed the
love of animal rescue to his parents be-
; cause as a child his parents exposed him to
the rescue process.
fl Their next big project will involve res-
B-iing Sumerian elephants. The couple
plans to build a 251-acre refuge suited for
these animals.
Operating on the belief that all
wildlife should be admired, Irwin empha-
sized that all people should limit their con-
flict with wild animals. Anyone coming
■cross any type of animal should let skilled
professionals handle him or her.
“Admire them from a distance” he
I said, “They are all beautiful creatures and
should be enjoyed by everyone.”

Australian adventurer Steve
Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter) has
taken on the big screen in Crocodile
Hunter: Collision Course.
Irwin’s new movie pits him
against undercover American spe-
cial agents.
These agents target Irwin be-
cause they believe he has a top-se-
cret satellite beacon.
Both sides are unaware that a
hungry crocodile has actually swal-
lowed the beacon.
Irwin is sent to rescue the croc-
odile from a gun-toting landowner
who continues to lose cows because
of the crocodile’s appetite.
Irwin places himself in harm’s
way yet again to rescue the croco-
dile from sure death. The feisty
crocodile takes Irwin on in an in-
tense battle of man vs. nature.
While relocating the animal,
Irwin is confronted by the special
agents but is under the impression
they are aggressive poachers doing
everything they can to get the croc-
odile.
Irwin is unaware of their identi-
ty and their purpose.
He believes they are poachers
while they believe he is actually an
undercover spy of some sort.
Still, neither is aware the croc-
odile has swallowed the beacon.
Irwin engages in death-defying car
chases, gets shot at and avoids
being bitten by bird-eating spiders.
