liu Hornets Tuesday night,
grabbing a fast 16-2 lead.
Hereford used an all court
press to steal the ball 12 tim-
es in the first six minutes of
play. This was Hereford's sec-
ond win over Tulia. Score of
the first game was 62-33.
First quarter score was 22-
113. The Herd took a more com-
I manding lead in the second per-
| iod. going ahead 37-19. The Hor-
nets were out-scored 15-18 in the
■ third quarter, as the Herd led
' 55-34. In the fourth period. Here-
ford slammed in buckets to
get a 32-point margin, 68-34. at
which time the reserves pour-
ed onto the court for experience. !
This was the first home game
of the season which was not
witnessed by a capacity crowd,
as holiday vacations and cold
weather cut attendance.
Hitting short Jump shots and
lay-ups, Ken Clearman count-
ed 19 points to lead the Herd

Boxing Matches Friday Night
Will Start Campaign Rolling
At least eiqht events have been slated for the
month-lonq March of Dimes fund drive in Deaf
j Smith County, according to campaign chair-
man Jessie Click.
Hereford boxers will kick off the drive with a
fight Friday at 8 p.m. in the Bull Barn. Teams from Borger
and Plainview will be on hand to contest in all weight di-
i visions.
All proceeds from the bouts
