I wont to say a word about the Medical School situation...
We have for years had our budget thrown out of balance due
to the fact that many patients are sent to this hospital and to
the Medical College of Virginia hospital and bills are charged to
these schools which rightfully are in the province of the Depart-
ment of Public Health...
I welcome the suggestion that we come to grips with the
situation and formulate a definite plan. We need an underwriting
by the state . heltubc network which we do. We need a
modest appropr;ta.n above that to take care of the costs of
medical educe ticn,.
